This week on what's yo status we were so delighted to have Karen join us in the studio to talk about essential oils. She is a distributor of DoTERRA Essential Oils. DoTERRA uses only the purest ingredients in their oils making them perfect for all sorts of different household uses. She gave us some information on what oils are great for cooking, asthma, cleaning, aphrodisiacs and so much more. Wea You Stay?
La Perouse
This week we went on a fun hike to La Perouse. La Perouse is a beautiful spot on the South Shore of Maui. There is lava rock everywhere. Lava rock seems to be pretty sturdy stuff because you can still see how some of the Hawaiians were living. The base of their houses are still standing to this day. You can see a room which would've been a pantry and a place that would've been for sleeping. There was even a tower where they kept watch over their little villages. The kids' favorite part was the blow hole. We originally went to go snorkeling. La perouse has some of the best snorkeling on the island, unfortunately the waves were far to big but the hike was beautiful and we really enjoyed the time out in the fresh clean Maui air.
